If there's one look that never gets old on the red carpet, it's glamorous, vintage-inspired waves. Whether bold or subtle, wavy styles always manage to be chic and sexy. Check out the seven TV ladies who rocked the look best last night.
Staying true to her retro style, Zooey Deschanel went with a 1960s bouffant-inspired hairstyle to match her bold lashes and checkered nail art. For a similar look, add mousse and tease at the crown for mega volume. Curl hair with a 2-inch curling iron for big, loose waves.
The actress' hair stylist, Harry Josh, was inspired by an image of Bianca Jagger from the late '70s/early '80s. He prepped her hair with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse ($6.99) before blow drying and curling with a 3/4-inch iron.
As captivating as her perfect deep rose lip was, we also couldn't take our eyes off the Orange is the New Black actress' piecey waves. For the same finish, apply a texturizing spray like Oribe Texturzing Spray ($39, oribe.com) all over.
Inspired by the 1930s, Gregory Russell styled Hendricks' bob in voluminous, textured waves. When hair was still damp, he applied Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse ($8.49, target.com) at the roots and length for touchable volume. After drying, he used a ½-inch curling iron and pinned each for tight ringlets. For that modern texture, he alternated between a wand iron and a marcel iron on each section.
To recreate Anna Faris' bombshell waves, add volume to hair with a light mousse while hair is still damp. Then use a curling wand on 1 1/2-inch sections, making sure to wrap widely around the rod, leaving space between each wrap for loose waves.
